호수 위에 띄어놓은 문화의 꽃 ‘라끄 플라네르’ 화성동탄 워터프론트 콤플렉스 대상지는 호수공원에 인접하고 있지만，대지의 레벨차이가 심하고 20m 도로로 단절되어 있는 도시적 맹점을 가지고 있다. 이를 극복하고자 공공보행 통로를 호수공원과 직접 연결하고, 입체화하여 수변을 산책하는 사람들까지도 문화복합용지 안에 자연스레 끌어들일 수 있게 의도하였다. 건축물 간의 간격을 최대한 이격하여 공공성과 개방감을 높였으며, 수평적?수직적 시야가 확장되어 자연올 향한 열린 배치를 이루고 있다. 각 문화시설별 성격을 달리한 공간을 분산배치하고 수직적으로 구성된 상업시설로 집객효과를 극대화하며 공간을 활성화하고자 했다. 이렇게 분산된 시설은 방문객으로 하여금 문화산책로를 유유히 거니는 여정을 제공할 것이다.

A flower of culture floating on a lake, wLac Flaneur” The site of Hwaseong Dongtan (2) Waterfront Complex is near a lake park, but it has several weak points as the land is very uneven and it is separated by a 20-meter wide road. To overcome such problems, public pedestrian paths are not only directly connected to the lake park, but also created using vertical structures to guide people walking along the lake to the complex. The buildings are separated from each other as much as possible to enhance publicness and openness, while they are arranged to be open towards nature with expanded horizontal and vertical views. The project adopted distributed arrangement of cultural facilities with different functions and concentrated the commercial facilities vertically to maximize the attraction effect and vitalize the space. These distributed facilities are expected to provide visitors with a leisurely journey through the cultural walkway
