쌍문동 골목길이 그러했듯, 도심 공공주택의 가로는 지역의 공공성에 기여하는 공공공간이 되어야 한다. 공공공간과 거주공간의 조화로운 공존이 이 프로젝트의 주안점으로, 도시와 맞닿은 공공주택 단지의 접지면을 지역의 보행 네트워크를 위한 공공공간으로 내어주었다. 선형 공원과 생활가로의 공공영역을 확장하는 다층적 가로공간을 조성하여 주거 공간과의 유연한 공존을 가능케 하는 것이다. 단위세대는 새로운 기능을 더하는 확장성 강화 주거공간을 적용하였고, 입주자의 생활패턴과 니즈를 고려해 다양한 선택이 가능한 자유가변형 평면을 계획하였다

As with the alleys of Ssangmun-dong, streets in this urban public housing project are envisioned as public spaces that enhance the area*s community value. The project’s main focus is the harmonious integration of public and residential spaces, with the interface between the housing area and the city dedicated as a shared public space to enhance the region’s pedestrian network. Multilayered street spaces will extend public areas along everyday streets and linear parks, allowing for flexible interaction with the residential spaces. Each residential unit features expandable living spaces, incorporating new functionalities to suit residents* diverse lifestyles and needs. Flexible floor plans provide various customizable options, ensuring adaptability over time. The residential complex near Ssangmun Station combines street-accessible public areas with a multi layered design to safeguard both publicness and livability within the community
