대상지가 속한 원미동은 노후화로 인한 도시적 문제가 나타나는 지역으로，대상지는 부천시 도시재생의 주요 거점을 남북방향으로 연결하는 중요한 역할을 갖는 곳이다. 따라서 주거단지만의 독자적인 계획이 아닌，지역의 길?경관?커뮤니티의 연결을 통한 원미동의 지역성을 담고 주변과 상생하는 열린 단지를 계획하였다. 이를 위해 기존 원도심의 가로 체계를 살려 가로 중심으로 단지를 구성하고, 기존 원미동의 문화를 확장시키는 3가지 커뮤니티 로드（스포츠+힐링 로드 / 문화+소통 로드 / 키즈+에듀 로드）를 적용하였다. 이를 통해 경계를 허물고 단지 내부까지 활발한 흐름이 유입되어，소통?교류하는 사람들로 하여금 지역의 특색이 자연스럽게 묻어날 수 있게 의도하였다.

The site is located in Wonmi-dong in the Bucheon City, an area facing significant urban challenges due to aging infrastructure. It plays a vital role in connecting strategic points for Bucheon’s urban regeneration in the north-south direction. With this in mind, we designed an open complex that harmonizes with the neighboring community, reflecting the regional identity of Wonmi-dong through the connections between streets, landscapes and local communities. To achieve this, the complex is organized around existing streets of the old downtown area and features three types of community roads (Sports and Healing Road, Culture and Communication Road, and Kids and Education Road) that extend the cultural identity of the area. This approach aims to blur boundaries and encourage an active flow into the complex, allowing the region’s unique characteristics to be naturally experienced by people through communication and interaction.
