Extension of the Constitutional Court of Korea
헌법재판소는 역사적 ? 문화적 향취가 묻어나는 북촌 한옥 마을의 창덕여고 이전지에 자리하고 있다. 본 프로젝트는 헌법재판소의 본연의 의미와 가치를 지키고, 지금의 위엄과 위상을 계승할 수 있는 방향으로 진행되었다. 본청과의 조화와 본청의 위상을 존중해 건물을 최대한 이격 배치하고, 석조 건축물의 고전적이고 완성적인 이미지를 계승하는 파사드를 디자인하였다.
This constitutional court is located in the area that was once Changduk Girls* High School, in the historical and cultural Bukchon Hanok Village. This project was carried out in a way to preserve the original meaning and value of the Constitutional Court and to succeed its present dignity and status. We placed the building at a distance to respect the harmony and position of the main building, and designed a facade that passes on the classic and finishing image of a stone building.
