세종시 복합커뮤니티센터는 현대도시의 공공성에 대한 고민과 한국 건축의 지혜를 본받아 풍경을 열어주고 그 안으로 자유롭게 시민들이 접근하는 모두를 위한 커뮤니티 센터로 계획되었다. 대상지는 1-1 생활권의 중심 상업지역과 근린공원에 접해 있으며 동쪽으로 스쿨존이 형성되어 사람들의 활발한 접근이 예상된다. 녹지 축을 따라 산책하던 주민들과 학생들은 커뮤니티 센터를 통해 녹지에서 데크로, 다시 데크에서 녹지로 이어지는 동선을 경험하게 되며，이를 통해 자연스럽게 사람과 자연，도시가 이어짐으로써 커뮤니티의 연속성과 공공성이 극대화된다.

The Community Centers in Sejong City is designed for everyone based on the concerns of the public roles of modern cities and the wisdom in Korean architecture to offer its view to every visiting resident. The site is expected to be actively accessed by people since it is adjacent to neighborhood parks and a central commercial area with an 1-1 living area and has a school zone to its east. The center allows residents and students walking along the green areas to experience a course from the green to the deck and vice versa and maximizes the continuity and communality of the community by naturally connecting people, nature, and city.
